Farmers we work with
In collaboration with the World Farmers' Organisation, we captured the story of Brades Farm and their work with Mootral. Watch it here.
Sustainable farming practices can help mitigate climate change, improve animal well-being, and safeguard natural resources. We also recognise that adopting such practices must be commercially sound.
Our farmer incentives programme seeks to empower our customers to reduce methane emissions of their herds, while improving their bottom line from the start and significantly reducing upfront costs.
Mootral in the field
We have worked with numerous farms — and thousands of animals — to perfect our products. Brades Farm Dairy, a barista milk specialist, started using Mootral products in 2018. Recognising an opportunity to become more climate friendly — and to compete with the carbon footprint credentials of various milk alternatives — Brades has utilised Mootral to not only enhance its green credentials, but effectively differentiate itself.
For Brades, reducing methane emissions from its herd was a key objective, and remains central to its operational and commercial proposition – but since using Mootral, the farm has also seen other benefits.
“We were the first company to start feeding Mootral to our cows. We wanted to do whatever we could to reduce our carbon footprint and be part of developing the solutions for reducing methane emissions.”

Brades supplies its barista milk to a number of high-end coffee outlets, including GAIL's Bakery, and has won various awards for its innovative, sustainable approach to farming.
“The effects have only been positive. On top of the methane reduction, there has also been less mastitis, and we’ve even seen fewer flies bothering the cows, especially during the summer.”
